Rick Valente
Throughout his career, Rick Valente has appeared on the covers of many well-known publications, particularly for Body Shaping, Flex, GNC, Le Monde du Muscle et du Fitness, and Iron Man Magazine. Valente was even featured on the cover of Van Halen’s album 5150, which sold more than 10 million copies. Valente has professionally modeled for such companies as L.A. Gear, Caesars Palace, Nike, Inc., Gold’s Gym, Netwear NFL, and Total Health & Fitness.
Rick Valente began his career as a body builder, participating in and winning various contests and fitness competitions. Valente took first and second place in competitions such as Mr. Golden Glades, and Mr. Gold Coast, Mr. Los Angeles, and Mr. California, among others. After sustaining an injury, Rick Valente chose to focus his efforts on developing a successful personal training business. He later turned to television, making his debut on ESPN’s show Body Shaping. Airing for 14 years, Valente co-hosted the show that drew in 60 million viewers in 90 countries. Since that time, he has appeared on a number of television networks, including NBC, ABC, MTV, and CNN. He also was featured as a guest on radio talk shows, including the Rick Dees Morning Show, WGN Sports Radio Business Network, KFAN Live Interview, and KABC News Live.
Valente also works as a humanitarian, contributing both his time and celebrity status to help with charity events. Previously, Valente has made appearances with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the California Special Olympics, and the American Cancer Society.
In his free time, Rick Valente enjoys reading. He counts Mitch Albom and Khalil Gibran among his favorite author. He also practices martial arts, and has trained at the West Haven Academy of Karate. Valente resides in Marina del Ray, California.
